Browsing through people's pictures online, then I stumbled upon this one. A sunset picture of an adult male, holding the hand of a todler, seemingly male in gender. Looks like a father, spending time with his son appreciating the view.

My mom used to tell us stories that when we wer younger, the whole family would always, as in always go to the beach. I was very young then. And this picture would be so perfect. 


Last year we spend alot of firsts, first out of town trips without papa. First Christmas without papa, first New Year without papa. Soon mama's birthday without papa, and my birthday without papa.


I know one day we'll meet again - one sweet day!

I am sorry for a lot of things. 

I miss you and I love you very much! 

Underworld: Awakening Will Be An Event

I haven't seen a movie since since June, 2011. Loozer! Hahaha! We'll I had been busy, if you've seen my previous posts and tweets maybe you'll know why. 

Underworld: Awakening - the 4th installment to the Underworld franchise

Since June 2011 to January 2012 is a long time = 7 months. Even broke an every Christmas tradition with my close friends of watching as many films of the Metro Manila Film Fest. But I can not let UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING just pass me by! January 20, 2012 will be an event! I missed buying the biggest popcorn and the biggest drink to munch and gulp up inside the movie house, while big screen amazing myself. And reviewing, discussing the movie with my friends after.


I've always seen UNDERWORLD in the big screen with my bffs, Marx, Patrick etc... A fan will always be a fan. Underworld (2003), Underworld: Evolution (2006), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. I missed Kate in the 3rd installment, but she is back! 


I love the energy, the fight scene choreography, the costumes, of course the story line and how they created the whole Vampire and Lycan world and history, past to future. But who would not be amazed of the so called Femme Fatal? Kate in the black skintight black leather costume kicking some serious ass. Award!!!!

Some Date Early Last Year

Looking down memory lane. . .


Earlier 2011, June. Was 3 months since my dad was diagnosed with cancer and other illness / dysfunctions in the body. He was diagnosed March, 2011. It was really hard for me to get to thinking that "THIS" happen, I've always thought that my dad was Superman. That he'll always be the strong male leader of the family, to provide, protect, love, and always be there for us. But I was so wrong, I was too busy growing up I forgot that my dad was growing old at the same time. 


To cope us with what had been happening, I'd try to always go out day and night with my friends. Bars, clubs, dancing till dawn, sleeping over and not going home for days. Being home depressed me so much, I felt that seeing everything happening and trying to accept will make me crazy. Clearly I was escaping reality. ANYWAYS......... my dad's story will be in another post, my mourning, regrets and everything else.  


So in one of my night outs with friends, I met a crush, my age and I like it. Tried to open up a conversation, then we talked and talked and talked about things at we had in common. Also talked about things that we didn't had in common. Feeling ko mas madami ang not in common hahaha! 


So we had a follow up, we went out. I think it was a date? But we were with my friends. So we went to a club in Makati, as the night grew we got to share alot more things about us. We're discovering more and more about each other, more of the "not in common stuff". I think at one point tried to get intimate cause some touching came into place. But I did not responded very well to the touching. So I had a thought - "Do I have a problem with intimacy?" I don't know but awkward for the both of us. 


The night ended in the morning hehehe, we parted ways. I did not realize that we'll be parting permanently hahaha! Well in my head it was just the 1st time we went out and the 1st time is the 1st time. So if you'll give it a 2nd and 3rd more, then things might just get better or at least really get to know the person well enuff to know if you want to continue going out, get to know more or not.  - Guess not!!! 


A friend once told me: "1st 5 minutes of meeting someone, you'll know if you want to continue seeing more of a person or not."


Another friend tweeted, quoted from someone else (I forgot lolz): "Not every person you date needs to mean everything. Some are there just to prove that they can mean nothing"


After some months of awkwardness, we got to talk and make kulitan again. So the flirty me, flirted with crush again. But this time di ko na sya crush, I just wanted to flirt. Mukha naman syang masarap iflirt. So we got to talk about the past and sabi nya: "Well you scare me kasi you seem to be having so much fun pa with your life. On the other hand ako... Well i have been through a lot and i am the type who tends to be serious and goal driven."


I have to agree... Then I got to thinking that we're not a match, ifever things will just always get dirty. A big I don't know, but guess the right one will come along. And without to much blah blah, yada yada, kudak kudak and hanash hanash.... 


Remembering this quote from Sex and the City, Carrie Brashaw said: "Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run with." Not literally huh, just the concept of the quote. Maybe I'll find someone just my match or someone who is more and get me on my knees (I know what ur thinking by this line and its not it. lolz) . - Good luck.

Lesser Dark Circles - From Now On

My bff Marx gave me this Lancome Blanc Expert Ultimate Whitening Anti-Spot Anti-Dark Circles Eye Serum. 

Maybe he had been noticing that I'm already developing these panda eyes. Hehehe!

Some of the guys were not able to attend cause the Barcino's connivance was a spur of the moment thing when I suddenly decided to make salubong. And we did! The night was really filled with fun, talks, drinks! Sabi nga nila, swerte daw pag sinasalubong ang birthday!

New Facebook Account

Well after almost 2 weeks of having no Facebook account - still. I took it upon my self to make a new one. So there I was so excited to have all my friends back that I kept on adding and adding and inviting friends. After almost 50 invites... I got logged out automatically.

When I logged in, I got a warning from Facebook that I should not be adding people I don't know. Maybe they thought that I was just adding people randomly and that if I continue I will be BLOCKED from adding friends and from sending messages.

Ok fine ..... Facebook has strict rules and policies.... Gotta read the guidelines guys....

Well atleast I am happy now that I already have a new Facebook account and get in touch with my friends easier.

2nd Day Without Facebook Coz It Got Disabled

I survived my 1st day without Facebook beacause it got DISABLED because I posted a freaking video of a woman giving birth.... Explanation was because I was so amazed how life is delivered into this world and the magic of the act... I was in awe so I want to share the magic. Apparently some did not appreciate the magic of it. TAE.

But it kinda drove me nuuutts..! I kept singing Janet Jackson's "Come Back To Me" and Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" hahahah on the streets out loud with my friends. Crazy right?

But I think I'll do better today, since I have twitter and my blog to be busy with than nonstoply pressing "HOME".

I'll blog again tonight.... How has this inaccessibility to this freaking social networking site affected my day. 

Really.... Social Networking Media has GREATLY affected our lives.....

My Facebook Account Disabled... Sad Sad...

Every morning when I wake up the 1st thing I do is to turn the alarm off my mobile phone. And as I turn off the alarm, the next thing I do is to check my messages, my Twitter and my Fsacebook message integrated app. 

So when I was checking my Facebook, I could not log in. I tried logging into the application, my mobile phone browser and lastly I used my PC. Still could not log in because my account was DISABLED. 

So I wrote to FB and hoping Id get a reply as to why my account was disabled here is what they replied.

After careful backtracking I remembered that I posted a video of a woman giving birth. Never had it occured to me that the video includes nudity. I was so amazed how magical child birth is and it is never in my intention to violate or malign femininity. 

I wrote to them again and tried to appeal..... So far no answer yet... tho I cans till wait.

It had been 3 years with Facebook.... All the pictures, videos, statuses.... 

This is how much social network had influence our lives.... That I will go through all these just to get back what was taken from me.... 

There.... go thru eating ice cream to feel good coz im sad....

The Leaving by Director Ian Lorenos

It is very rare that a young Filipino Chinese director comes up with a movie that is very rooted into his Chinese ethnicity. To showcase the different Chinese cultures, traditions and other practices into one movie.... Who em I talking about??? Well the very fresh, new up and coming movie director Ian Lorenos.

 I think this is Ian when he won at the Cinemalaya 2010

Ian directed THE LEAVING staring Alwyn Uytingco, Lj Reyes, Anold Reyes and Lj Moreno. The movie won Cinemalaya 2010 Best Cinematography, Best Production Design and Best Supporting Actress for Lj Reyes.

 

Ian is my schoolmate back in Chiang Kai Shek College where I spent four years of my High School life. Ian is a very nice guy who alot plays basketball in the school grounds. I never though that he had this liking for movie making until last year that I was told that he will be directing a movie and it was THE LEAVING. Maybe it was the years after I graduated and never heard from alot of my HS schoolmates for so long.

I promised Ian that I will see him movie and be a very nice person when I talk about the movie after seeing it. I saw the movie in a weekday, so not much are in the cinema with me while I watch and not getting so much reaction from my co-audience. 

As I understood the story, THE LEAVING is about 5 Filipino-Chinese individuals who live closely to each other, does not really know each other until their paths crossed. The different characters represent if not... most of the Filipino Chinese people in the Philippines and depicting the situation where alot of us are in... I wont go into details with the characters and the story, because you have to see it for yourself. 

What I liked about the movie is that it was shot largely at the Chinese - Binondo area in Manila where I spent years growing up. Alot of familiar places, landmarks, stores.... I lived a Filipino Chinese life so I really can relate to the situations in the story, except for the loka loka girl - 5th character, but on 2nd though... Bka ma buang na din ako soon ... hahahahah

Also I liked how Ian made tahi how each characters role is shown in the movie. Very easy to digest and you'd love to talk about the movie after seeing it. 

To sum everything up.... I love the movie, I don't mind seeing it again, except for a few horror scenes.

Run Against Time - Meta Fit Run

Immuvit, our client thought of changing the program for the 3rd Immuvit's Run Against Time. It had been agreed to add the Meta Fit Program into the Run. 

Very interesting.... Now what the hell is the Meta Fit Program. I also don't have the exact word to describe it, but I can tell you a story about it. And also another fact.... we are the organizers of this event.... and here is my story. 

You know how an event is being conseptualized, planned, organized and implemented. Since this is the 3rd leg, me and my co-project manager went through the grooling process for the 3rd time - yet again. But this run posed additional work for us because from just running in the perimeter of Bonifacio High Street, the Meta Fit program requires runner to do 5 different exercises within the run. Why do these additional exercises? Because....

When running a marathon, 3K, 5K, 10K, 15K, 21K.... you will need a big area to run on... or go in circles in a small running area. But .... injecting the Meta Fit program into the run... you can achieve the amt of workout by just running a 1.2 K or double it. 

The whole perimeter of Bonifacio High Street, where the orange cones are is 1.2K... We added 5 different exercises into each of the 4 WalkWays of the mall. So one lap will approximately be comparable to a 3 to 5K run. 2 laps 10K and so on. 

Here are the different exercises:

 

 Usually organizers don't really participate in the event they organize, because we need to stay guard and implement the event the best way we know how. But then again.... I need to test how the program will go... so I participated.

i was really hesitant... because I lacked sleep and might not perform and give out my best. But ... I guess I did a good job... I did 2 laps which is equivalent to a 10K run... Ive ran 10Ks before and believe me.... This Meta Fit program is really a good one. 

As Coach Jim Saret said.... ! lap will make you loose 3K calories... when done the right way.... so how about 2 laps. 

2 days had passes and my butt muscles are still sore!

Im Not Happy With Adidas Shang Store - Sungit Attendant

Last week Monday I passed by Adidas Shang branch, and I saw this cutie black Super Star Adicolor sneakers.

Since I don't have a black based sneakers yet, I went on and bought this one.

It tooked the attendant maybe 30 mins to find the the size I needed, but ok lng... So I paid and left. 

When I got home to fit my new sneakers, I found that there had been a mis match of the Adicolor inserts. These are the the stripes designed with different colors and patterns used to insert into the 3 stripes on the side of the sneakers.

So I went back the next day.... Hassel, coz as attendants of the store, they should know what accessory goes with what.  Sila nag bebenta eh. 

Hassel na, but still I smile and asked the lady politely regarding the mismatch. I was expecting a sorry or smile from her, but non was given to me. 

Ang sungit nya at naka simangot pa ah. Nakaka bad trip, nag effort na ako bumalik, may pa GV na "smile" man lng or "sorry".

Well basta I therefore conclude na masungit sya and my shopping experience at Adidas Shang Mall was the worst.

My 10.10.10 - Fun Fun - Oh Yeah Fun Talaga

Started the day with a photo shoot for work. Well it was a photo shoot for one of our clients. We shot some models with the product and the blah blah..... So since we got the photographer, studio and make up artist. I thought of making singit in the idles hours of the session. Eh walang tao eh. Edi pakinabangan kesa naka tanga lng sila.

Really nice, all white paint. Very spacious and very cheap... 450 / hour for an 80 sqm studio with make up and dressing room. And here are the pictures below:

My office mates photographers and the models were really happy with the GV - Good vibes feel of the place. Of course GV working people = GV work results.

I had a 2 lay out shoot. Well I just changed my shirt, hahaha. Hope the shots really turned out well, since Jr Sala said naman na we got quite really nice shots. So much for the GVness of the day.... As the day came to an end... we were all planning to have a nice dinner somewhere. So preparing all my stuff and getting the car .... untill....... SHOOOOT! I left my front light turn on for the whole day and "Good News" the car batt just got drained!

I panicked for a while, sweated alot and thought of calling Motolite for their on the spot service. Waited for 45 mins for the Motolite guy to come from Cinema Sqr. Costed me 350.00 for the jump start service.

Good thing my ofcmates waited and accompanied me while I waited. Natouch nga ako eh.... = P
