a break... sorta...

so, i've mentioned before the brilliant online photography/writing/learning about yourself... ah-mazing course i took with susannah conway, a BRILLIANT lady. both stunning photos were taken by her!! well, she offered up the idea of an august break, in which tons of bloggers chill and enjoy life. basically, posting a photo each weekday, with or without words, for some inspiration. since i'm such a big mouth, i am challenging myself to say all that i need to with the title. lazy. possibly. but with our impending move, travels, and new puppy(1 month to go) i need a break from my own sarcasm. i will try and take new photos, but i may also from time to time use inspiration i find online. i'll be back in september with loads of fun. i have some freaking awesome blogs coming your way... a 15 reasons to love with issa from we wear things AND erika from fashion chalet!!! not to mention celebrity dress up. what the hell does a vegan eat? and sooooo much more. the emmys are coming up... Living Well on Qtv Pilot Episode - July 25, 2010

I was online the night before July 25th, inviting all my friends to wake up early and see our show's pilot episode. I think I slept around 4am that morning. Well fortunately I got up around 9 am (hilo hilo pa ako), and still had the chance to catch 30 mins of the pilot episode. 

It felt weird seeing yourself on TV, knowing that person on the tube is you but you look and sounded different, but what the hell. Every commercial I'd switch the channel, forgetting to go back missing most of the segments I was in. good thing my friends stayed tuned to see me and also to comment on the show. 

I only got to see a few secs on me on screen, so far.... I was satisfied naman with how I looked like, just hoped that we had better wardrobe.

As the credits went on, I got alot of SMS comments regarding the show, positive and negative ones and some where comforting msges. Comforting???? hahahaha -walang hiya yan lolz.

We will be taping our 3rd, 4th and 5th episodes this July 29th, and after seeing our pilot episode, the hosts and production are more excited & inspired to work harder.

um, you look a hot damn mess... didn't you know?!

as we all know the world must correct itself... balance. so for every beautiful dress i post, there are 4-5 absolutely ghastly ensembles. i keep a folder buried deep in my inspiration files where i can go and have a giggle when i am feeling particularly bitter or pms-y. i thought i should clear that folder out. so it's time i share with you some of the bad i've collected over the past few months. it's not all horrific, but it's definitely the opposite of good.

um... someone needs to tell aladdin here that her tots are completely hanging. i'm all for high style and there are definitely parts of this preen look that i could dig, but overall. no thank you. the deep rectangle is not flattering on blake "linebacker shoulders" lively. i can't tell if it's the high waist or top, but she looks squat and this chick is a giant. plus, her boobs are just ridiculous. it's a shame, i like her.

she looks like she is going to a funeral! what died? i'll tell you, fashion did! this gustavo cadile is just ugly. you are some kind of special if you make eva longoria look like a grandma. she's so petite that these puffy sleeves are just too overwhelming for her tiny frame! her makeup, as always, is perfect. but this look is just not fabulous.

ashley greene is super hot, but i am a little confused by this bill blass gown. mostly because it's so dreadfully boring that i can't even stand it. plus, i am NOT loving her new longer white girl hair. i prefer her with darker strands. she needs to go shopping with dakota fanning, kristen stewart, or nikki reed... they all understand personal style. i feel like alice cullen relies heavily on her hotness, which i suppose i would do to if i was that hot, but i feel like she is yet to develop a real grown-up style. 

um. i love rodarte. i love mia. together... um... something is off, right!? i feel like the little lace pieces over her bosoms is just throwing it off. she looks like a 10 year old boy. i think that's the problem. i think?  any thoughts? 

holy lotta look batman. whoa. lea michele is beautiful and glee is brilliant, but this etro disaster is just completely overwhelming. add lots of hair and it's even more overbearing. the dress also seems waaaaay too big for her. the sleeves need to be taken in big time! this just looks sloppy. rachel berry would be appalled. 

oh my grossness. what is this!? holy lord this is ugly. it's no secret that i find kathryn heigl to be a repulsive human being. no, i don't know her personally... so i know that's a bit harsh, but in all the years that i have been reading fashion magazines and paying attention to the entertainment industry, i have NEVER seen an actress so blatantly rude, defensive, self-important... that's probably enough. she bites the hand that feeds and that bothers me. a lot. rude. despite my utter distain for her this look is disgust. the cut of the gown plus the stripes makes her look crazy wide. and the neckline is beyond unflattering for her tatas. the necklace is super dated and the hair is just... did she forget to do her hair? fail. 

WHOA! BOOBIES! what is this!?!? dear lord! i love me some fergie ferg, but this dress confuses me. between the choppy color blocking, the poor fit on the boobs, and that tail, i don't know what's the worst part! the shoes are kinda cute. 

are we filming a 4th matrix film? victoria beckham does what she pleases, but this look is just way out of my cool zone. the brian atwood boots look like 1991 threw up on her ridiculously teeny legs. plus, the robot giles dress is just too much. her hair and makeup are fierce though. 

maybe she's going to a baby shower... in the country... in 1995.... nothing about this ensemble looks modern. add her "retro" hair and it definitely just does not work. at least she's not wearing those herman munster shoes that were oh so popular back in the day...

so, that was just a little bit of harmless fun at the expense of rich celebrities who should know better than to wear ugly things! so whatcha think? am i so right? so wrong? so mean? boo. friggin. hoo.

I Have A Crush!

I havent had a crush in years! Gawd I love this feeling! Im soooooo HAPPY!

so, i've been in a bit of style rut. lots of lounging around in sweats. unshaved legs. zit cream. all around icky. we are getting ready to move in a month or so, but it's been all that's preoccupying my brain space. i've been cleaning/decluttering and stressing. so, my blogging has suffered and for that, i apologize. but i thought today i would just post some ah-mazing, inspiring looks. no hot damn messes here. i am loving all of the bronze/gold/pewter fabulousness out and about over the past few months. these looks are all so rich and regal. fit for a friggin' princess. it's a trend that i plan to rock the hell out of this fall. i can't wait to shop! here are some of my favorite looks. 

ah, emmy rossum. did you know that she recently got a divorice? yeah, for reals. she was "secretly" married like a year or so ago. weird. any who. she's one of my dopplegangers, so i suppose i have to mention how beautiful she is... i do dig this look. the gunmetal bodice with the light lavender skirt is just genius. love the peep toes. love the gaggles of necklaces.  eyeshadow may be a bit much, but she looks pretty rock and roll princess. 

ohmylordy, i have had this picture saved forever. this is drew barrymore at the glaad awards. and i just can't get over how freaking beautiful she is. have you seen her on the cover of elle magazine this month? AH-mazing. and this look is just so sweet with the sparkle and the long boho hair. she just looks so fresh. love it. 

well, if it isn't the light of my life, diane kruger. how hot is this lanvin? answer. uh, super hot! everything about this embellished frock is perfection. i die. i mean, this is genius. love her. 

well, if i had legs like mrs.underwood, who was just married last week, i would probably prance around in mini-skirts all the freaking time. this martin katz is the perfect length and the bubble is just adorable. i love all of the folds and creases. very sculptural. love it. 

if it isn't the home wrecker herself... sienna miller has been a bit off my radar lately, but this chick is beyond fabulous. i love, love, love this matthew williamson dress. but what makes this work for me is the brilliant hair and beyond brilliant coral-y red lipstick. this chick has her fashion shit together... her love life on the other hand... well, let's just say i wonder if she met her boyfriends one-night-stand love child yet? too soon? hmm.

ok, so veronica mars...sarah marshall...kristen bell... doesn't usually do it for me on the red carpet. her look just always seems a bit off. this stella mccartney is genius! and omg, she didn't do anything to destroy it. i might have raised the hem a bit or given her a higher platform shoe, but this is pretty close to perfection. 

who doesn't love gwyneth paltrow? well, if you don't then you can just get the hell out of here. she's a brilliant actress, super geniune, a great mom, and she likes to cook/travel and tell you all about it. if you aren't signed up to get, goop, her weekly newsletter you are missing out. she's like a hip martha stewart. much less scary too, she would never yell at you while making cookies. paltrow is also smoking hot. i loooove this stella mccartney on her. my god, could her legs be any freaking longer!?!? this color is ah-mazing against her delightfully pale skin! the black accents work perfectly.

Just 3 Mons @ Work - Memo Na!!!!!

Yes, I started to work here in my current job April 16, 2010 and it is only July 13, 2010, not even 4 months and I already got a MEMO for habitual absences and tardiness.

I read the 1st part of the MEMO and just inserted it into my file rack. Why? because if I went on to read it more, I'd only feel bad and guilty. And wont take a 2nd look at it again. All I know is that I have to wake up, and drag my ass to work before 9 am.

Why am I always late? Because I wake up at 6am, snooze my BlackBerry and wake up again after 2 hours. Of course ill be very late by then. I live in Manila and my office is in freaking Ortigas. Gimme around 1 hour no traffic and 1 hour 1/2 with traffic. Bad trip diba.

Why am I always absent? Because... because.... Masarap rumaket. If the pay is bigger than my daily I'd go and accept the raket, but if not I'd just have to go to work. But recently because of taping schedules for "Living Well on Q", I'd really be more absent than tardy na.

If ever this hosting thing gets to eat more of my time and compromises my job. Priority has to set in, I'd choose hosting even if it pays smaller. Hehehehe... Waiting for this opportunity for seven years is no joke. I am willing to take the gamble.

As of now, whenever my phone wakes me up, I really need to pull my self out of bed get to work on time.

um, so jessica biel is fabulous...

whatever this chick is doing? i wanna know! in the past year or so i feel like a pretty girl from a god awful television show has become a super hot fashionista. and she's got a fantastic bootie. while i get super tired of actresses claiming they are overlooked for movie roles because they are "too pretty" ehm, jessica alba, oh please. i just vomited in my mouth... i don't understand why ms. biel doesn't get more work. unlike the aforementioned alba, this jessica can actually act. i freaking loved her in the illusionist and you are full of crap if you didn't think she was the best part of valentine's day. worst. movie. ever. but she was cute and funny and believable as the spastic workaholic who wishes she had a man. despite her hotness i believed she could be pathetic. GASP. acting!

okay, maybe it's just me, but i am in love with this dvf giraffe print dress. it's bright and fresh! the colors are beautiful on her and the breezy hair and makeup are utter perfection! this chick is rocking it out! 

i love this green on her. here she's in oscar de la renta and looks adorable. the pulled back hair is so chic with the monster earring and ruffled color. and the texture of the skirt mixed with the texture of the shirt makes me happy. tres bon. 

UM, hello fabulous!!!!!! ohmylordy, i am in love! this erin fetherston jumper is tailored to perfection! geez! i just think that this is the cutest thing ever. and once again, the hair and makeup is genius! 

how hot are these shoes!? the outfit is dior and this skirt is beautiful! she just seems so comfortable in her skin. i'm sure her super hot fashionisto boyfriend, jtimberlake, has something to do with this. i feel like she seems much more mellow since starting to date him. she still makes some mistakes now and then, but i think she is really starting to understand her inner fashionista.

oh yeah and she's besties with jennifer garner. my favorite actress/person on the planet. soooo i'm gonna go ahead and say that jessica biel has got to be ah-mazing. come on! justin timberlake/boyfriend, jennifer garner/best friend... dude, she has to be insanely cool. these photos are from one of my favorite shoots from marie claire. so cute. they feel real. like, i hope both ladies are as fun as they look in these photos. love the lanvin necklace on garner in the 3rd photo and totally love the marchesa gowns in the 2nd photo... and the big gulp is a nice touch.

Dear Blog,

Alot had happen in the past 3 weeks. OMG! it had been 3 weeks since I last had a post here. Boy I really neglected u like crazy.

The past 3 weeks had been really hectic! Ok what a term.

Anyway dear blog I know that you will be very happy with all the updates.

Last June 9, 2010, I got an SMS and E-mail from an agent that was refered to me by my good friend and TV host Velerie Tan, that there will be an audition for hosts for a new QTV show. Well you know naman how much I had always dream of becoming a TV host. Ok fine so then I took a day off from work and went to the audition. I was on time and wearing my lucky black shirt that when I wear it, I feel as tho I am the hottest guy within the mile radius.

So I registered, got a number, 12 - dunno if it was a lucky number. Next thing I did was to look at the competition. The room was packed with radio DJs, TV hosts famous and not so. Then I started to sweat, not realizing that I was not able to put on my "won't let you down" weapon - ohhhhh gawd...

Then the producer started to call in the numbers 10, 11 then 12.... Me!

This is how the audition went:
1. Choose a topic from the ones provided, health, fitness, self medication, food, stress and so on.....
2. Talk about the topic you chose.
3. Show format - Tyra / David Letterman

Then I chose "Self Medication". Being the pseudo writer that I am, I like everything to be organized with the right intro, body and outro.

So I started with introducing the show and myself.
Introduced the topic, elaborated more on it and set some examples.

So I said there is Physical self medication, emotional and spiritual - crazy much huh

Physical - popping a pimple and putting anti biotic
Emotional - breaking up with someone and eating gallons of ice cream
Spiritual - doing something bad, aster that reading self help books or going to church and hearing mass just because.

And of course closing the segment with - "We'll talk about all of these and more, when we return, so don;t touch that control coz Living Well will be back only here on Q."

So I went back to my seat and try to mend my sweating armpits.

But as I go, I noticed the exec producer looked at me as I walk and sat. Hmmmmm she is quietly talking to herself and playing with nummbers on how to score my performance in the audition.

Minutes passed and we were sent home.

I met with friends after that, talking about the audition and just laughing abt what I've done and said in front of all the hopefuls in that room. Told them that I am not expecting anything, it was all for experience and fun. But the day after.... Tan tan tan nnnn tannnn..........

My agent called me up and said, I got the job! Ohhhhh I jumped with joy all over the ofc. The happiest day of my life. Dreams do really come true, after years and years of dreaming, VTR and countless auditions.

So here I am, to conquer another challenge that was given to me..... Pictures of our 1st taping in my next post!!!! yey!!!

so as we all know, i was rocking the catwalk a few weeks back and i have finally have some photos to share with you. i don't have many because i haven't been able to get ahold of the photographer. boo. so here's some of the fun!!! if i can ever get more photos, i will totally post them, but at least there is one of me. my dress was enormous! it swallowed me whole, i felt very skinny!!! i liked my dress the least of the gowns, but i think because i was a shorty the designer put me in this one. buuut since it was so big, the sash had to be repurposed as this huge bow, which i personally think made the dress cooler. fun fact of the evening: the designer, project runway's heidi elnora, told me i was one of the best walkers!!! i was in shock. most of these girls are real models!!! truth be told, i felt like hot shit after that!!! 

so that's the fun!!! the last photo is my sis-in-law holly and my cousin maxx! aren't they sexy bitches!?!? love them so much!!! i wanna thank tina rowden for her awesome photos. and if you are in the atlanta area you have to check out spa sentio. this place is gonna be a big deal!!!
