just can't get enough!!!!

omg. i am obsessed. i seriously have a problem. navy and white stripes are my absolute favorite. i am OB-SESSED. i cannot walk by a navy and white striped article of clothing and not buy it. it's a freaking compulsion. i mean, who doesn't love a little parisian chic in their life. i just love how complete chill, yet super sophisticated it is at the same time. j'adore how it brilliantly transforms from preppy la cool to rockstar brit badass. 

my own delightful collection is pictured below... and it will continue to grow because as long as they keep making brilliant nautical stripes, i will be buying. it's one of the few things my husband fully supports the purchase of... he just gets me...

the teen choic---- who cares?

so, during my month long break the teen choice awards happened... i know, i know... who gives a flying shit?! buuuuut there was so much yuck that i had to discuss it with you. with all of the fabulous fashion in the world, these kids show their age and underdeveloped style... by wearing this ugly stuff. 

oh ashley greene... did you not get the memo? this isn't a ladies who lunch function! the dress is cute, but come on she looks like she's 50 years old... the color is super blah and i just find the overall look less than fabulous. 

holy sex kitten batman. lea michelle looks like she needs some bedroom action. did she not understand that this show is for teenagers? she looks like she is practicing her maxim poses. don't get me wrong she looks pretty great... but with the hair, the insane fake tan, and those skank-a-licious shoes and you get "trying to hard for a kids show" 

okay, i dig the ankle booties with the little spikes, but geez, no one at this show wore them properly! plus, IT'S STILL THE SUMMER! wear some damn strappy sandals. lucy hale, of pretty little liars(love), from the ankles up is super fabulous... but the shoes are just not the right choice. 

this is naya rivera and for those who are living under a rock last year, she is the fabulous santana on glee. i'm flipping OBSESSED with glee. now, i commend her on going with the fall trend of a full skirt... but she is young, hot, and has a rocking body... you would never know... this outfit ages her like a thousand years. i'll pass. 

now, this isn't the worst look i've seen on kristen bell... and trust me she has plenty of bad outfits to choose from... i like the idea of this dress. i think the shoes really throw me off. something isn't right... maybe the length of the skirt? too long or too short? i can't tell. as always, her hair and makeup are beautiful... but not loving this. 

that's a lot of ugly! oh yuck! poor little emma roberts! who did this to her!? the crazy bronze eyeshadow, the puke green bandage dress, and those weirdo browish booties... dear sweet jesus. this is more ugly than i can handle. she is usually so good on the red carpet, but this makes me want to vomit. not. loving. this. 

dear lord. do these kids not understand that it's summer! thigh high boots are for fall/winter! and definitely never with this dress! this is katerina graham from the vampire diaries(love)... girl needs a stylist stat. because there is so much tacky going on i don't even know what to make fun of first... the dress looks like a slow kid pasted on jewels with elemer's glue... and the lipstick is just tack-y! better luck  next time.

i am so tired of these bandage dresses. ugh! and wsdid hilary duff do her own hair!? because this is what my hair looks like when i'm cleaning the house. this just isn't styled well and for such a cutie she just looks boring. i will say that the color looks great on her. but that's about the only nice thing i have to say.

AH! what happened to kim kardashian's face!? so confused!? she looks so old and in the dress... she looks old and fat. this is not a flattering look on her mad curves. someone with such a rad body shouldn't wear things this drapey. something about the fit on her tatas and booty is just yuck! and it looks like she has been shot up with enough botox to inject nicole kidman, meg ryan, and the cast of the real housewives of new york... and new jersey. hey kim! please stop! you are very pretty and you don't need whatever you are doing...

so finally a look i like. worn by a grown up... go figure. this is yvonne strahovski, sarah on chuck. i like how simple and clean this is. the pop of color on the shoes is playful and perfect for the occasion. nothing bad to say... well maybe she went overboard on blush, but this it i swear. her legs are out-of-control!!!! 

this is demi--- no... miley--- no... miranda---no... this one is selena gomez. and she has great style. i never have to be too mean to her. she gets it. and i really dig this look! the white is fresh and airy. the shoes are super cool and normally i wouldn't love a shoe so high on the ankle, buuuut the color and tribal feel make them feel light and sexy. i like it... even though i still have no idea what she does...

um, you look a hot damn mess... didn't you know?!

as we all know the world must correct itself... balance. so for every beautiful dress i post, there are 4-5 absolutely ghastly ensembles. i keep a folder buried deep in my inspiration files where i can go and have a giggle when i am feeling particularly bitter or pms-y. i thought i should clear that folder out. so it's time i share with you some of the bad i've collected over the past few months. it's not all horrific, but it's definitely the opposite of good.

um... someone needs to tell aladdin here that her tots are completely hanging. i'm all for high style and there are definitely parts of this preen look that i could dig, but overall. no thank you. the deep rectangle is not flattering on blake "linebacker shoulders" lively. i can't tell if it's the high waist or top, but she looks squat and this chick is a giant. plus, her boobs are just ridiculous. it's a shame, i like her.

she looks like she is going to a funeral! what died? i'll tell you, fashion did! this gustavo cadile is just ugly. you are some kind of special if you make eva longoria look like a grandma. she's so petite that these puffy sleeves are just too overwhelming for her tiny frame! her makeup, as always, is perfect. but this look is just not fabulous.

ashley greene is super hot, but i am a little confused by this bill blass gown. mostly because it's so dreadfully boring that i can't even stand it. plus, i am NOT loving her new longer white girl hair. i prefer her with darker strands. she needs to go shopping with dakota fanning, kristen stewart, or nikki reed... they all understand personal style. i feel like alice cullen relies heavily on her hotness, which i suppose i would do to if i was that hot, but i feel like she is yet to develop a real grown-up style. 

um. i love rodarte. i love mia. together... um... something is off, right!? i feel like the little lace pieces over her bosoms is just throwing it off. she looks like a 10 year old boy. i think that's the problem. i think?  any thoughts? 

holy lotta look batman. whoa. lea michele is beautiful and glee is brilliant, but this etro disaster is just completely overwhelming. add lots of hair and it's even more overbearing. the dress also seems waaaaay too big for her. the sleeves need to be taken in big time! this just looks sloppy. rachel berry would be appalled. 

oh my grossness. what is this!? holy lord this is ugly. it's no secret that i find kathryn heigl to be a repulsive human being. no, i don't know her personally... so i know that's a bit harsh, but in all the years that i have been reading fashion magazines and paying attention to the entertainment industry, i have NEVER seen an actress so blatantly rude, defensive, self-important... that's probably enough. she bites the hand that feeds and that bothers me. a lot. rude. despite my utter distain for her this look is disgust. the cut of the gown plus the stripes makes her look crazy wide. and the neckline is beyond unflattering for her tatas. the necklace is super dated and the hair is just... did she forget to do her hair? fail. 

WHOA! BOOBIES! what is this!?!? dear lord! i love me some fergie ferg, but this dress confuses me. between the choppy color blocking, the poor fit on the boobs, and that tail, i don't know what's the worst part! the shoes are kinda cute. 

are we filming a 4th matrix film? victoria beckham does what she pleases, but this look is just way out of my cool zone. the brian atwood boots look like 1991 threw up on her ridiculously teeny legs. plus, the robot giles dress is just too much. her hair and makeup are fierce though. 

maybe she's going to a baby shower... in the country... in 1995.... nothing about this ensemble looks modern. add her "retro" hair and it definitely just does not work. at least she's not wearing those herman munster shoes that were oh so popular back in the day...

so, that was just a little bit of harmless fun at the expense of rich celebrities who should know better than to wear ugly things! so whatcha think? am i so right? so wrong? so mean? boo. friggin. hoo.

eclipse premiere w/ a side of drunken fashion review. fun ensues.

so you all know that i have a seriously obsession with twilight. i can't help it. it's ridiculous and escapist. it makes me feel like a 15 year old again. i looooove it. judge me if you want, but know that you are an asshole. everyone has a guilty pleasure and unfortunately a crap ton of pre-pubescent girls and nut job soccer moms also seem to be obsessed with mine. it just takes a few insane twi-moms to ruin it for the rest of us. anywho, moving on. the premiere for the 3rd film was thursday night and the fashion was out-of-control. i really enjoyed most of it. and k.stew and rpatz, stupid abbreviations, looked ah-mazing!! my lord i hope they are doing it like rabbits.

um, this chick is hot! and this elie saab dress is perfection. i freaking adore it. it fits her so well!!! she just looked radiant and super comfortable in her skin. i loooove this. her hair is sort of boring, but i don't think that she has much hair to work with at the moment. but other than that this look is sheer perfection.

STUN-NING! holy bananas! nikki reed is beautiful, my husband would agree. this marchesa is stunning. the pale blue color is heavenly on her skin tone. love. it. the louboutins are genius.

i'm okay with this. i don't love it. the whole grecian feel of this dress works on ashley greene, but it could use some tailoring in my opinion. the gown is alexis mabille couture and it's just a little too potato sacky. she is stunning and the idea of this gown is great, but it needs some work. also, i hope it's for a role because i dislike her new "miley cyrus" hair. kellan lutz looks pretty fabulous in d&g. his hair looks weird too.

so these are boring. elizabeth reaser is in zuhair murad and dakota fanning in elie saab. the zuhair murad just looks likes she's trying too hard. the sheer fabric weirdness just doesn't work for me. i don't know i don't love it. and I SWEAR dakota fanning has worn this before, right!?!? so boring. they both look nice, but this doesn't float my boat.

*dakota. she looks like the little girl from the movies and stuff. 

tinsley korey, emily, is wearing a sue wong and honestly, i'm not impressed. i feel like it makes her look really old. or maybe it's her makeup? the bodice is adorable. but i don't like this. in the white is julia jones, leah, she's wearing a marchesa and it's ok, i suppose... it's boring, but it's alright. i just feel like these looks weren't very well thought out. just kinda flat. 

*joe says. tinsley. she looks a lot older than the rest... i don't know, it's okay. i'm more intrigued by the girl in blue behind her... 

*julia. that girl looks like a bad avatar of megan fox. 

these ladies are both newcomers. kristen prout will be playing jaspers maker and hopefully her acting is better than her fashion sense 'cause this sucks. it looks like a prom dress and the shoes, they confuse me so much. the hair doesn't make sense either.  it just looks like holy shit i'm gonna be famous soon, instead of really put together. fail. the other newcomer is, of course, bryce dallas howard who is taking over the role of victoria. suck. i'm sure she'll do a great job, i just loathe casting changes. the dress is also a major suck. this christian dior looks very "little house of the prairie" meets "pretty pretty princess". something is very off. i don't even mind the pale color against her pale skin, but the dress just doesn't come together for me. 

*joe says. kristen. that girl looks like taylor swift... is that taylor swift... it just looks bad. tim gunn said make it work and it didn't work. 

*bryce. looks like an insane librarian from the 60's who killed the blonde chick from robin hood. (after the fact he explained he meant, who looks like the blonde chick from robin hood aka cate blanchett)

we all know how much i love anna kendrick. she's a genius and probably the most talented person in the cast, buuuuuut i am so not a fan of her fashion choices. this marchesa has been done so many times, so many different ways. think natalie portman in lanvin or givenchy, both of which were perfection. this is just not right to be. the shoes might be adding to the problem, they are majorly sucking and they make her tiny legs look shorter and totally give her a cankle. she is faaaaar to cute for this. 

*joe says. i mean, she's wearing a trash bag... and that dress probably costs 20 thousand dollars. 

ah, christian serratos. so pretty. so cute. what's wrong with your hair? i couldn't find a great photo of her dress which appears okay albeit boring. but that hair. jeez. i am definitely not understanding.

so that's my review. i can't wait to see the film. i'm not going to my normal midnight show... things just weren't working in my favor this year. i might try and see it wednesday, but alas, i am just not sure. i WILL see it like the true nerd that i am... and i will love it. no matter how bad critics say it is... and no matter how bad i know it is because it's such a fun way to escape the world. hope you enjoyed the review. thanks to lionlamblove for most of the photos. and look at that picture above... they love each other so much. so obvious. love it.

who looked cuter than you this week...

um, so if you have been alive and breathing you know that a lot of damn people looked better than you last week. cannes is alive and well and bringing the fabulous!!!! i mean, for serious, these ladies have just been hitting it out of the freaking park... especially freaking kate beckinsale. hello hot.

 clockwise from the top. marchesa, balmain, temperley london, and gucci. ohmylordy, how fabulous are these gowns!?!? She seriously has changed every 20 seconds, since the festival began. And she has just looked ah-mazing doing it. I love how she is playing with so many different looks princess, rocker, sweetheart, and grecian goddess. and they are all out of control. The gucci is probably the greatest thing since sliced bread. the fit is perfect. love, love, love. 

oh how i hope they are dating!!! so freaking cute together. michelle williams looking absolutely adorable at the blue valentine premiere in a suno dress and some killer stella mccartney wedges. i die. this is just like the cutest thing i have ever seen in my life. i love the white blonde hair on her and she is just so tiny and cute. love this. 

carey mulligan, girl crush!!! she looks stunning in this azzaro gown! and her little finger waved curls are just bananas. navy is one of my favorite colors, but on the red carpet it tends to fall a bit flat. not here! the sparkle on the bodice and neckline are perfection. 

okay, i love this. like looooove love this. eva longoria parker is rocking this naeem khan. i adore the sparkle and the cutouts... where you have to think... is it see through? isn't it? j'adore.

so these next two, weren't cannes wear, but still looked ah-mazing. She was rocking this donna karan at a party in manhattan. i looove the origami shapes and textures. The asymmetry is just genius. I also adore her lipstick. 

ashley greene, alice cullen in the flesh, at the young hollywood awards wearing antonio berardi. i'm not always a fan of ms. greene's wardrobe, but this outfit is sick! it fits her perfectly and the little lacey bralette peeking out from a some demure gown. it's genius. totally rocks this. and if you are a twilight fan, hopefully you have heard that greedy ashley and kellan lutz have settled with summit for the final movies, each with 1.25 million for both films. glad that could be settled. because i would've been pissed.
