emmys 2010. me likey.

holy yay! i'm back!!!!! and with an ah-mazing emmy fashion review. the show was absolutely hilarious. jimmy fallon did a brilliant job and so many well deserved people won! so, i was really digging quite a few of these ladies. and there were a few that i can't tell if i love or like or what. so let's play!!!!! and don't forget to comment and agree/disagree/argue/whine whatever. let's have fun.

how could i forget claire danes!? i was looking at a ton of dresses. i was so glad claire won for temple grandin, she was genius in it. she looked absolutely stunning in armani prive. beautiful. it did look a bit much like anne hathaway's oscar dress, but that's alright. she just looked light and angelic. stunning.

omg. keri russell is ah-mazing. i have always adored her personal style, even back in the felicity days. but this baby pink number is just doing it for me. so clean and stylish. it's breezy and light. i am just totally digging this. she is just so effortless and there is far too little of that in fashion nowadays. love this.

okay, this isn't my favorite look of the evening, but jenna fischer wins the most improved award!!! oh my goodness this is just brilliant on her. the color, the fit, the hair, the makeup. stunning. she looks tall and thin. her boobs looks FAB-ulous. i am just really feel like a proud parent. great work. 

holy hotness oliva munn! i know this look is incredibly simple, but it fits her so well that it's genius. she just looks thin and tall and sophisticated. i am loving this dress. her hair/makeup is just super sexy. love it.  

okay, i love this. i'm not quite sure what maria menounos does, but she looks smoking hot. it's a lot of look, but i totally think she pulls it off. i love the cut out and red lipstick. the hair is bit helmet-y, but i think it works overall. it's just pretty and shiny... and we all know that i am easily distracted by shiny things... example see below. 

see!? shiny things! okay, you can dog me, but i love this. heather morris of glee(love) is totally rocking this ina soltani gown with total veronica lake like sexy. i love the black belt and how it cinches her teeny-tiny waist. her hair and makeup are absolutely spot on! i love this. aaaand side note, she is my favorite gleek. this chick is insanely funny and damn she can DANCE! 

i totally don't get the 30 rock hype, but i have to say jane krakowski is smokin' hot! and this escada gown is just fabulouso. it's interesting and fits insanely well. her hair and makeup are beautiful. this is just a super win for me. 

only heidi can wear a mini dress to the emmys. this marchesa is super hot. heidi's smokin' hot. end of story. HOT.

yay amber riley! this is how a big girl should dress. she looks curvaceous and sexy. i love that her hair is up, but not shellacked in place. it's fresh and young. the beading at her waist is genius and totally shows off her tiny mid-section. this is great. 

okay, i love vampire diaries... so sue me. nina dobrev is a super pretty girl, but she doesn't usually wow me on the red carpet. i feel like it's alway a bit generic and young. but this zuhair murad is out-of-control! i mean come on. her shoulders are just beautiful and her waist is, like, non-existent. i think the accessories could've been a bit more modern, but seriously i can't really say anything bad about this. just beautiful. 

i just can't decide if i like these final 3... i'll explain...

look at this chicks body! Hell-O! my god she's sexy! and i think i really like this. she always wears these weird puffy dresses that in all honesty make her look fat, which she is definitely NOT! but this zac posen really emphasizes her curves while showing off her little waist and not weighing her down with heavy fabrics or silly details. she is just a sexy lady. i like it... i think... 

oh sophia veraga. is there really a more beautiful women on the planet!? she is just outrageously sexy. not even fair. but i can't tell if i like this gown... in photos it's a bit prom-like, but on stage she looked genius. it fits her insanely well and looks stunning when light hits the sparkles. so... i'm just not quite sure. side-note. if you don't watch modern family you are a loser. best show on tv. 

okay. okay. i know you are thinking... but jane lynch always looks so unfortunate on the red carpet that i just had to give a shout out to her. she looked absolutely beautiful! this ali rahami fit her like a glove and the color was flawless on her. hair and makeup looked great. congrats to her on her emmy win. she's brilliant and i'm thrilled that she looks nice. so while, not the most fashion forward of the bunch, this is pretty awesome.

emmys 2010. um, no...

so these were my big no-no's. no way kimosabe. these are just bad. you know better. in twitter speak, #fail.  

so, rose byrne is a cute girl, but she always seems to just get something wrong on the carpet. the dress is alright... a little too star wars chic for my taste. but dear sweet baby jesus what is wrong with her hair?! she looks like a hot damn mess. it's just way to tall and far too frizzy. i. do. not. dig. 

poor tina fey, this chic just cannot catch a fashion break. this oscar de la renta is just waaaaay too graphic and modern for her. and the ponytail. holy hell no. it just doesn't do a single thing for her. and it does even less for me. funny. yes. fashionable. dear lord no. 

who in gods green christ is lo bosworth!? and since when do you where a day dress to the emmys!? this is what you wear to a friggin' baby shower not the emmys!!! and who the hell are you!?!?! the hair is just a disaster, the pale lip is so off, and as far as i am concerned it was an accident she was invited... at least i hope it was. 

oh geez. amy pohler. tsk. tsk. tsk. what is this chick thinking!? this is max azria and the color is really nice, but the boobs just ruin it... i mean, come on! the fit around the armpit is just weird and makes her boobs look like flaps. flap boobs!? not good.

julie bowen is one of THE funniest women on tv. she is hilarious and absolutely stunning. but oh dear no. j.mendel makes ah-mazing gowns, but i feel no balance with this dress. it's boring and at the same time absolutely cluttered. it doesn't even make sense. her hair and makeup are flawless, but she is too beautiful to looks so blah. 

holy yuck batman. this carolina herrera looks like a bridesmaids gown... an ugly bridesmaids gown at that. as far as i can tell the shoes are abysmal. the necklace with the crazy hair is just too damn much. another example of a beautiful women looking less than wow. but that is a hella fierce pose she's got going on up there... ahaha. i crack myself up. 

whoa. that's a lot of look. rutina wesley of my favorite, true blood(love), is wearing... well, this. it's just odd. the graphic pattern... the weird slit... the major big hair... the bright lip... it just seems a little contrived. it's not coming together for me...

julia ormond is beautiful. talented. and wearing a really ugly pink dress. this weird neckline has been tried before and it really just doesn't translate. it's not terribly flattering and with her crazy hair and super strange eye makeup... it's just not fabulous... not even a little bit. she's still super talented and beautiful...

okay, so give it to me... so am i right are these terrible!? or are you blind and loving these looks!? 

emmys 2010. i'm confused.

now... these looks aren't all terrible, but something is just off about each of them... some i just can't put my finger on and some i definitely can...

dr. bones herself, emily deshannel, i can't quite love this because it seems to just overpower her. the bangs are just too harsh and seem to compete with all of these purple doilies on her gown. it's just not there for me.

i'm not getting this look. jayma mays is always so cute and this sexed up look is just not translating for me. i like her jewelry and i like her makeup, but the rest of it is just not great. this burberry gown is kinda boring to begin with... it just doesn't seem fit her style personality... 

dianne agron is beautiful and this carolina herrera is beautiful, but i'm not seeing the connection. she just looks so old. i mean, she looks great, but she doesn't look youthful or stylish, at all. and the belt looks cheap.  

we all know i love emily blunt, but this dress looks like it's molding. uh- no thank you! disgust. her hair and makeup are spot on, but i will pass on this stale dress. 

i actually love everything about this marchesa look. i'm just a little puzzled as to why kim kardashian is invited to the emmys... she's not a celebrity... and the day she wins an emmy is the day la-lohan makes my best dressed list. #fail. 

oh golly, julia louis-dreyfus in narciso rodriguez. big friggin surprise. my lord this boring. she looks great, as always, but i'm just crazy bored by all of this. been there, done that. BOR-ing.

looks like lea michelle is doing her best jennifer garner impersonation. this look has so been done. the gown is oscar de la renta... which pretty much looks exactly like jenn garner's odlr at the 2009 oscars. the necklace looks very juvenile and i don't care how many diamonds it's got... it's not working with this look. plus the hair down is just too much. better luck next time. 

once again, this just feels like every kyra sedgwick gown worn before. she looks wonderful. the dress looked beautiful on stage, but this monique lhuillier gown is just the same thing, different color. yawn. 

eva longoria parker is a hot chick. her hair and makeup are just insanely perfect. her earrings are stunning! but this robert rodriguez is not awesome. the corset top is stunning, but i really don't like the skirt. it's not flattering and if eva can't pull it off... there isn't a chance in hell anyone else can. close. but no cigar. 

the newlyweds. so freaking cute! love these kids. true blood makes me so very happy. this alexander mcqueen look on the other hand does not make me happy. i don't hate it though. i love the gold and the accessories. the bodice and skirt are just not great. she'll do better next time. i have faith.

um... kelly osborne... um... tony ward gown... um... puzzled. 

dear sweet jesus. this is a look. january jones is to be commended for her out of the box fashion sense... that said this versace is not her finest look... far from it. i really like the silhouette of the gown, but this blue tin foil fabric is not awesome. and what the eff happened to her hair... mmm. no thanks. 

good ole lorelai gilmore! love lauren graham. love this yigal azrouel gown, but i feel like something about the fit is just not right. she looks insanely broad shouldered and super flat chested. it's just not flattering on her. i dig all of her jewelry though. 

i feel like we've seen this look and i feel like it's not that special. i have an acting crush on jennifer carpenter. have you seen quarentine!? my lord she plays scared brilliantly. i just really don't love this. the styling is just really blah. 

who is this? 30rock, right? i have no idea. i am always just kinda confused by her. this is okay... for prom 2010. very taylor swift... oh, that's not a good thing. 

i feel like this gown could be awesome, but alas, it's just terrible. the flowers and shit at the bottom are just weird. and she has officially over-tanned. toni collette is way to talented and beautiful to be that orange.

edie falco is an awesome actress, but the bottega venetta is a snooze-fest. and it looks like she has a third boob on her hip. hmmm. 

this donna karen gown was not meant for a pale lady. and elizabeth moss is definitely a pale lady. the gown is beautiful, but the color just keeps me from actually liking this. and that hair is not cute and it hasn't been in style since the 50's. not cute. 

look it's kristen wiig doing her best drew barrymore impersonation. this gown is actually super cute, but whoa flyaway bangs. that is some bad hair. really bad hair.  

holy cher horowitz batman. this is very clueless with the bracelet all high up the arm and the choker... julie benz is very pretty, but i feel like she has lost so much weight that she isn't even recognizable anymore. this pamella roland gown is pretty, but super matronly.

we are moving!!!!!! we got our first choice so the hubs is going to be flying the 53 in SAN DIEGO!!!! I am so freaking excited that i can barely stand it! we head to north carolina for 6 months of expert training and then west coast here we come!!!! it's been a long time coming and i am just so happy that what we wanted was what was supposed to be! yay!

so, i was facebook stalking a few weeks ago and found that a dear high school buddy had posted the most genius photo. seriously. i mean just look at it! i begged her to sell me a copy and luckily, she obliged. i had this grand idea to frame it in an obnoxiously big, gold frame and i really think i got it. i found this freaking awesome frame on craigslist for 25 stinking dollars, a steal of a freaking deal. the mat was a little fancy so it cost me like 60 bucks, but it's genius in person. i am so in love. the whole project came to less that 155 dollars and it looks like it cost 3 times that... soooo happy!!!!
