i didn't get the memo.

perhaps, spending the last seven years in an urban environment, where college-aged kids dress out of the pages of fashion magazines, i've grown accustomed to coveting their fresh style. this is not the case in p-cola florida. my in-laws dropped by this weekend and we decided to take them to the naval aviation museum, as we do all guests. i don't know how many more times i can take it. i looked super adorable, as always, and to my horror i was surrounded by a sea of denim skirts. they were everywhere, so i started taking photos and my mother-in-law even got involved "posing" as a decoy. i couldn't figure out why every other girl i saw was in a denim skirt, they had to be in a group together. i overheard someone say something about buses, so at first i thought high-school because denim skirts and flip-flops are acceptable in the 10th grade, but no, i saw multiple wedding rings. what??? the worst was the floor length kindergarten teacher skirts, they seriously make me want to vomit. no disrespect is meant to these ladies because hopefully for some strange reason they were ordered to wear these hideous jean skirts. i really wish i could give you a true estimate of how many girls there were, 5o maybe more. i hope this doesn't offended any of my peeps, but seriously if you are over the age of 18, toss all your denim skirts, please.
