Globe 24Ever e-Games EB Event & Free Concert

EB nanaman at the SMX convention center this Saturday September 27, 2008 (10 AM-8PM) for the Globe 24ever event and free concert by your favorite local bands.



Of course, aside from seeing me again in person (hehhee) there will be an Audition Dance Battle Tournament to celebrate Globe's 24Ever theme.

The Audition S.BBoy Team Battle!

Registration Mechanics
For Globe Subs
Ø Not yet registered to G-cash: Register to G-cash (for P1) to be able to get a “Tournament Coupon” from G-cash promodizers
Ø Already registered to G-cash: Show the G-cash balance inquiry to the promodizers to get a “Tournament Coupon”
Ø Gamers to show the “Tournament Coupon” to E-games staff at the Tournament registration table to be able to sign up with the game they want to compete in

For non-Globe Subs
Ø Buy a Globe SIM at P45 (bundled with a free P20 e-pin)
Ø Register to G-cash to be able to get a “Tournament Coupon” from G-cash promodizers
Ø Gamers to show the “Tournament Coupon” to E-games staff at the registration table to be able to sign up with the game they want to compete in

1.) Teams will register at the designated booths with their team name and members.
2.) Teams will be composed of three main members and one reserve. The reserve can replace any main member at any given time
3.) Upon registration, teams are advised to stay near the tournament area.
4.) Teams will be called by their team name when their turn is about to start
Stand-by ready…
5.) Ladder will be computed and grouped by the marshals.
6.) All ladder decisions are final and irrevocable.

Set- up!
7.) Teams are given one (1) minute to secure their positions and slots once they are called.
8.) If teams do not arrive within the period, they are given an additional minute for the next call.
9.) Teams who do not arrive after two calls will be defaulted to [Lose] and the opposing team moving up the next ladder.
10.) Upon securing their slot in the game, contestants are to login to the channel designated by the on-site game marshal.
11.) Contestants are given one minute to check their PC’s settings (mouse, keyboard and sounds) for optimization.
12.) A HEADSETS-OFF POLICY IS ALWAYS IMPEMENTED UNLESS DIRECTED BY THE MARSHAL.
13.) Contestants are given one minute to do and apply necessary changes to their characters, may it be aesthetics to top up.
14.) After the given preparations, further instructions will be given by the on-site marshal.

Battle Start!
15.) The room will be created by the player upon designation by the marshal.
16.) The mode will be S.BBoy Battle. The room name, the ladder number or any name decided upon by the marshal. The room password will be given by the marshal t limit players to the on-site contestants. Once the room is created, the players are to enter the room immediately
17.) No contestant will give out the room password. Ever.
18.) Once settled, song ranges will be as follows:
a. Eliminations: 100~120bpm
b. Quarterlies: 120~140bpm
c. Semis: 140~
d. Finals: Any of the following bpm songs: 160, 172, 178, 188

19.) Game will commence upon the signal of the marshal.
20.) Connectivity problems: IF any player disconnects during the first half of the song, the game will be remade. The disconnected player is to raise his hand and shout “DC!” all other players are to raise their hands off the keyboard and wait for the instructions of the marshal to remake. ELSE the game is after the half of the song, the game will continue without the disconnected player.
21.) Connectivity problems: LAG is not an excuse.
a. Unless it affects the updating of the total score of the team or of the scoreboard.
b. Unless it de-synchronizes the song to the beat
c. Unless it de-synchronizes the skill window level to the others
d. Unless it leads to disconnection
22.) Hardware problems: IS not an excuse. These should have been addressed prior to the game proper.
a. Unless the Hardware issue was not detectable during checking
b. Unless it broke down in the middle of the battle
c. Unless it affects the gameplay of fellow gamers
d. Unless the marshal decides so

Scoring
23.) Team battles will be determined by sets. For the following:
a. Eliminations: Sudden Death (one round/set)
b. Quaternary: Best of three (three rounds / set)
c. Semis: Best of three (three rounds/ set)
d. Finals: Best of five (five rounds/set)
24.) The Team’s total score will determine the winner of the round.
25.) Each team will be pitted against each other until there are three teams.
26.) The teams, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive prizes
a. 1st Place: 30-Day Set, Premium Messenger PLUS, 30-D Pet
b. 2nd Place: 30-D Set, Premium Messenger PLUS
c. 3rd Place: 30-D Set
27.) Winners will be posted in the forums and in the website.
28.) Marshal decisions are final.
RULES and LIMITATIONS
29.) The Audition Game Policy will be in effect at all times.
30.) If ANY contestant is suspicious of violating the policy, the team will be suspended pending an investigation by the marshals.
