do you drybar!?!!?

so as we all know, i went to ball... we also know that i looked FAB-ulous!!! now, i have to admit, i was not responsible for my diva updo, based on molly sims' brilliant wedding hair and a chic bun worn by kate bosworth. when my bFf showed me the pics of what she thought i should do, i was pretty sure that would never be able to pull it off on my own. then surprise!!! my darling dear surprised me with a uptini(updo) courtesy of the good people at drybar in san diego! yes, my bFf is better than yours! have you every heard of drybar!?! it's a brilliant concept, their tag line "no cuts. no color. just blowouts." says it all. it's literally a bar to get a blowout and they also do updos. no matter how much hair you have all blowouts are only 35 bucks. sounds good to me.

i had a pleasant experience, it seems that customer service is very important with the drybar crew... which as a former customer service rep is always a good thing in my book. the employees were eager to offer me a beverage and magazine. the styling was quick and well done, thanks michelle. no complaints from this girl. i'd definitely go back for a cosmopolitan blow out ;)
gettin' all dolled up by michelle at drybar
taa-daa!!! the finished look
full body shot

so, have you ever been to drybar!? is yes, how often do you get blowouts!? if no, why not? price, time, etc!?!?

3 Star Kim, Kourtney, Khloe Poses the January 2012 issue of Glamour

Available on newsstands December 6th, . Kim, Kourtney and Khloe posed for a fun-filled Ben Watts shot spread gracing the magazine's pages with the headline on the New Year's Special reading "There's no judgment between sisters."

A preview of the Kardashian sisters' interview - in which Kim addresses her split/romantic aspirations - is as follows. For more, be sure to visit Glamour!

Kim Kardashian: ...I think I’ll always be a hopeless romantic.
Glamour: What do you mean by that?
Kim Kardashian: It means that I believe in love and the dream of having a perfect relationship, but my idea of it has changed. I think I need to not live in a fairy tale like that. I think I maybe need to just snap out of it and be a little more realistic.
Khloé Kardashian: I love Kim’s belief in love and the fact that she feels so strongly about it. She has that dream every girl has.
Kim Kardashian: Well, I don’t think I have it right now.
Khloé Kardashian: Which is fine, but I’m your sister and I know why you don’t have it right now. But I know you will get it again.
Kim Kardashian: I hope I do. But by then I hope maybe I’m a little bit more realistic.
Glamour: Realistic about what?
Kim Kardashian: The fact that what I want isn’t possible.
Khloé Kardashian: What, a guy on a white horse coming to get you? That doesn’t happen!
Kim Kardashian: I don’t know. I always wanted what Mom and Dad had. And at first I was like, I want six kids. Then I went down to four, then I was down to three…and now I’m like, maybe I won’t have any. Maybe I’ll just be a good aunt.
Khloé Kardashian: But Mom and Dad got a divorce, and she met Bruce. And you were a child; you don’t know what Mom and Dad had. As an outsider looking in, it probably looked like paradise.
Kim Kardashian: At this moment in my life, I feel like maybe I’m not supposed to have kids and all that.
Khloé Kardashian: Oh my God. Don’t be dramatic all of a sudden!
Kim Kardashian: That’s how I feel. Maybe my fairy tale has a different ending than I dreamed it would. But that’s OK.

Hot celebrity Lady Gaga Poses Vanity Fair Magazine for January 2012

The Mother Monster posed for an artsy and provocative spread shot by Annie Leibovitz while speaking with the magazine about everything from relationships to moments of self doubt.

Highlights from Gaga's interview are as follows. For more, e sure to visit Vanity Fair!

On getting proposed to after a breakup:
“How f***ing romantic. Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better. I can buy myself a f***ing ring.”

On her talent getting in the way of relationships:
“If I go to the piano and write a quick song and play it back, they are angry with how fast and effortless it is. That’s who I am, and I don’t apologize for it. But it’s a hideous place to be in when someone that you love has convinced you that you will never be good enough for anyone. I had a man say to me, ‘You will die alone in a house bigger than you know, with all your money and hit records, and you will die alone.’”

On moments of self-doubt:
“Even though I know it sounds a bit Hallmark, whenever I [was] in that kind of stressful, worthless moment, I would think, I’ll show you.’”

On her life in short:
She sums up her love life by saying, “I think what it really is, is that I date creative people. And I think that what intimidates them is not my purse; it’s my mind.”

breaking down breaking dawn...

okay, already i know that there are going to be super haters... and to them i say SCRAM!!!! these books/movies were not made for the masses, they were made for a certain type of person... a person who day dreams, a person who loves all things nerd, a person whose imagination always gets the better of them... i am all of these things... bella is a girl who, while being awkward and uncool, is destined for more than her small life. she's beautiful and strange... the people who love these movies were never the popular people... or if they were they were always harboring some super nerd tendencies. we all want to be bella... that's why these books are fascinating... not because it's a genius story or even particularly well written. it's a fantasy that we all want to be apart of... we want the beautiful/perfect/dangerous boy to fall in love with us...
k.stew at the la premiere in j mendel

enough of that... i have found good and bad things with every twilight film, but i didn't have as many negatives as i expected with bd. it was my least favorite book, but the movie pleasantly surprised me. the film was the first that really showed bella and edward in love... no brooding(at least for the first half of the movie) just a couple in love. it was refreshing. the wedding was absolutely stunning. and the dress. holy crap the dress. carolina herrera outdid herself. it was insane. i was very surprised at the scandalously low back. the honeymoon was equally beautiful, brazil is freaking stunning. once again, i loved seeing how comfortable the happy cullens were... they were so cute and funny. gasp. i know, twilight movies are never funny!! and then the sex... oh, vampire sex. i thought the baby making scenes were good, not great. it was still pretty risque when i think about how little it was actually discussed in the book. the bed breaking was ah-mazing. but of course, with bed breaking comes demon baby... now this was the main reason i hated the book... oh geez... but honestly i sort of loved it in the movie. watching bella waste away was heartbreaking and kristen stewart really upped her acting game. enter the wolves, my main problem in the film... bad acting. bad acting all around. the wolves, of course, must destroy the demon baby before it can harm anyone. therefore jacob separates from the pack to protect bella and her vampire spawn. note to all: the cgi wolves talk... and it does not sound good. i could not stop laughing. glad that didn't last long. back to the good stuff. bella looks a hot friggin mess and i have to say that the birthing scene was the main reason i enjoyed this movie... it was disgusting and messy and gory. exactly as it was supposed to be. this movie has more blood than the previous 3 combined. LOVED IT. it was also gut wrenchingly sad, watching edward try to pump her chest over and over... sigh. there is a ton that i am leaving out... awful score, wolf/vampire fights. imprinting(stupid), blood in a sippy cup... but the basic gist is that if you love twilight, you will love the movie...
at the london premiere in roberto cavalli

breaking dawn in a hurry.
*as melodramatic and cheesy as ever.
*great to see bella and edward happy for a change.
*they had a genius wedding planner.
*vampire sex.
*wolves are terrible actors.
*wolves shouldn't talk.
*birthing scene is perfect.
*imprinting is gross.

So that's my take on the film. what about you?! what did you think!!?!? which is your favorite movie so far? why!? isn't kristen stewart kicking ass on the red carpet!?! such a girl crush on her!!

the prince is giving a ball...

how many grown adults get to go to balls?!?! it's great... sort of. I love, just as much as any other girl, to put on a beautiful dress and feel ah-mazing... but there is something about formal military functions that instantly instill fear into my soul... you want to be appropriate without being boring... you want to stand out without looking like you are trying too hard. there are a ton a freaking rules. boo. i hate rules.
*disclaimer. my husband is not a porn star nor is he a pedophile... he is indeed supporting movember, yes that's right... for the month of november he will rock this moustache in the hopes that you will donate money to prostate cancer research. a great cause... an ugly stache... go here to support him!!!
i bought my dress a few years ago at dillards of all places. it's a bcbg and it was seriously on sale. i thought the look and color were perfect for this season. my bFf abigail pretty much styled the rest... she could seriously open her own jewelry store. she sent the beautiful earrings and the citrine ring on my left hand. the house of harlow peacock ring was a b-day present from one of my favorite people in the world. abigail suggested hair, makeup, and nail polish(essie burgundy)... girl knows her formal wear so i obliged. the hair was totally out of my comfort zone, but it was a hit and really worked with the gown. the makeup was a red-ish smokey eye with a lovely nude lip... i felt pretty fabulous!!!

so what do you think!? did i rock it out at the ball!? do get the opportunity to dress up often!? if so, how do you go about choosing your look?

Highlighting the world's most stylish siblings with this year's "Dynamic Duos" theme, the 25-year-old twins nabbed top honors for being the fiercely fashionable girls we know and love.

Beating out a group a gaggle of fellow style-savvy sister acts, the list included Dakota and Elle Fanning (No. 2) and Beyonce and Solange Knowles (No. 7), Kate and Pippa Middleton (No. 9) and Rooney and Kate Mara (No. 10).

While there's no doubt any of the names could have easily picked up the top spot, Vogue's Fashion News Director Mark Holgate told Reuters that choosing the Olsens was “kind of a no brainer" for him.

The 24-year-old blonde beauty proudly showed off her athletic figure while sporting red and white bikinis for a not-to-be-missed spread while chatting with the men's publication about topics such as her work on WWE's Raw and her dating preferences.

Highlights from Kelly's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to visit Maxim!
On whether she was always a fan of wrestling:
"Oh, yeah, since I was a kid. My mom thought it was too violent, but my dad would sneak me into the bedroom to watch with him. It never crossed my mind I could do this kind of stuff, I thought wrestlers were larger than life, so when WWE called and asked if I wanted to train, I was like, 'Oh, my God, yes!'"

On her most memorable match:
"The championship. To win the title after being in the ring for five years - it felt like I'd really achieved something. It was my time."

On her taste in men:
"I have dated a wrestler, but it's a breath of fresh air to be with someone outside the business. Guys definitely get intimidated because they see who I work with, but I don't care if a guy works out every day of the week - different strokes for different folks."

On what a Stink Face is:
"I put my shorts up my butt and stick it in my opponent's face. I think it's the best move. I got it from this old wrestler Rafiki, who used to do it in a diaper. It was so obnoxious."

During a recent interview with MTV, the "Stronger" singer dished about the mass of female artists on the radio today, telling, "I always think it's healthy to have a lot of stuff out there, and there's room for everybody, because everybody is so different, especially all the women right now in the industry. We're all very different from each other, which I think is good. It keeps it not boring."

Kelly harkened back to a previous comment to the press, in which she told, "I want to punch Adele in the face! She is just too good," Kelly explained, "That's a term of endearment for me. I think maybe overseas that didn't read well. I meant more to be funny. She's just so talented; she's just so ridiculous it's upsetting."

As for teaming up with the "Someone Like You" singer, Miss Clarkson said she's trying her best land a collaboration, jokingly explaining, "I'm stalking her currently through interviews. Every interview, they are like, 'Who do you want to work with?' 'Adele! I want to do a duet with Adele!' " Clarkson said. "I've been stalking her since we did '[VH1] Divas' together, actually, and we were supposed to sing together, and then they changed the concept to where we would sing with somebody from a different generation. That was actually really cool, because I got to sing with Melissa Etheridge, and she's amazing. That wasn't like a letdown or anything, but I've been trying to sing with [Adele] for a while."
