so i just saw this outfit and i seriously died! it is absolutely bananas!!! perhaps, like me, you have been wondering where the hell amy smart as been? remember when she was everywhere? well, she showed up to the fulfillment fund's annual stars 2009 gala and looked like a trillion dollars! holy crow, i'm in love! i have been waiting for some one to show up wearing these stella mccartney cutout leather leggings. i am in love! for serious! i love the leather mixed with the soft white of the blazer and top. i also love that she went with cognac colored pumps instead of a more obvious black gladiator heel. now the only problem is that this outfit is a stretch for the pocketbook, the leggings alone are 900 dollars!!!! so i tried to give you the same outfit for a heck of a lot less.
So the breakdown,
The blazer is free people and runs $148. i think the studs on the pockets make up for the lack of design on the leggings. i also found a blazer with a bit more length, it's a slightly more ladylike. but if you have the ass, by all means wear a shorter one.
The liquid leggings are hue sold at bloomingdales they retail for 30 bucks. now these don't have awesome designs cut into them, but they are cheap and hot!
The shirt and clutch are both from forever21, both are under 15 dollars.
The pumps are aldo's waxler pumps and cost $90. i love these shoes, one of these days i am buying the nude patent ones. these shoes drip sex, but in a reserved sort of way...
So, there you go an adorable outfit with pieces that can be re-worn countless ways all for under 300 dollars! The blazer and the pumps are staples for your wardrobe therefore worth the extra dough. this outfit could even work with a pair of slim black pants or dark jeans! what do you think? pretty close right? would you ever wear this outfit? what pieces do you like? dislike?
