don't be alarmed...

i won't be gone for long... it is absolutely necessary that i take a little vacay. i am so excited, it's been ages since i ventured out of the good ole' u s of a. greece is getting a weeks worth of lauren. don't worry i will take tons of photos and fill you in on all of my fantastic outfits when i return. i also have fashion week info to fill you in on, so don't go anywhere, i'll be back in a few weeks. smooches to all of you and don't be too jealous...okay fine, be jealous.

i love jennifer garner.

it's no secret that alias is my favorite show of all times and further more that jennifer garner is the light of my life. she made an appearance on the jay leno show and in true jen form she was absolutely adorable! she looked fantastic, love the dress, hair, shoes, all fabulous. the movie looks hilarious, i can't wait to see it!! i just think jennifer garner is the coolest chick! i wish she would be my friend...

i absolutely loved the emmys and to be honest...i don't usually watch them...just the dresses, but neil patrick harris was amazing. he did a fantastic job of keeping the show fun and different. he is hilarious and relatable, it worked. it hate that 30 rock wins everything all the time, but i am happy for grey gardens which was amazing. the gowns were just okay. some were amazingly beautiful, but most were just eh. are you ready for all the posts? there are a lot...

yay, my number 2 pick!!!! i adore everything about this dress and how it was styled. mila kunis is such a little fairy! i love the bordeaux color of this monique lhuillier gown. the length is divine and the shoes are perfect. can you tell i love this??? love.

and this is my number 3!! smoking hot kate walsh looked out of this world in an icy blue j.mendel! it looks flawless with her hair and skin color. the dress fit her to perfection. and she was styled perfectly. i love it.

julia louis-dreyfus is still a major hottie! she looks wonderful in vera wang. enough said.
ah, this gown is amazing! this monique lhuillier is red by-the-by, not pink...the picture is a bit wonky. i love the volume. toni collette is seriously hot.

oh debra...silly debra. i am a bit disappointed in my darling rachel zoe cause there is nothing exciting about this michael kors and she's messing's stylist, so she is taking the fall. it's not ugly, it's just crazy boring. i do like the jewels...
why is everyone hating? i love this dress!!! it's bottega veneta and it's fabulous! leighton meester's face looks like it's melting, but in her defense it was like 103 degrees out...i think she looks amazing.
and blake lively...i love the traveling pants movies...did you know that? i loooove them. i have seen them both like 3 times...that's a fun fact, i cried watching the first one. so this versace is less interesting my little rant...it's not bad, and the neckline is delightful...i just feel like something is missing...any ideas? i can't place it.
cat deeley couldn't be cuter! as far as i'm concerned is the best tv host out there. she is never annoying, never awkward, and always dressed to perfection. this is no different.
omg, drew barrymore is fabulous. truly, this was up near the top for me! she just looks so pretty and grown up. she too was rocking monique lhuillier and looked perfect. the pulled back hair and the red lip make this dress the bees knees. it's so sabrina, but in pink!!!! i love it.
this girl is fierce. seriously, she has become a little style icon. i love this ysl purple number. with her adorable pixie hair and bold necklace, she is totally natalie portman here! bananas.
i almost left this one off because the picture just isn't doing it justice. jennifer morrison was rocking this calvin klein column and it looked amazing on the red carpet...it just doesn't seem to be translating to picture. trust me, it looked amazing when she walked.

eh, i really get annoyed by tina fey...30 rock just gets on my nerves. any who, this gucci gown is a terrible bore and makes me want to pop a zoloft. yuck. i really thought that she was moving up after the oscars, that zac posen was stunning. this was yuck.
now jenna fischer missteps on the red carpet a lot. remember that flower thing...eh!? but this at least is a step in the proper direction. it's reem acra and it's pretty.

christina applegate is a champ and a surivior and this is how she treats herself. the back was pretty, but i must just not get her style because i never like her gowns...i don't know. she looks nice...

so sparkles were all the rage at mtv awards and they were boring. but i have to say that at the emmys, i was alright with it!!!! stunning. these ladies are all rocking it like it's their job.

perrey reeves was my best dressed of the night. she looked amazing in this naeem kahn. i have never seen her have a bad fashion moment. what makes this my favorite isn't so much the dress, but the styling and the fit. this dress looks as if it were made just for her. super swank.

i like this asymmetric dotted gown, created by isaac mizrahi, on super weird chloe sevigny...she's really odd right? that's not just me? huh.
rose byrne looks amazing! totally on trend with the sheer and the sparkle. valentino did her right!!! i like all of the straps we are seeing on dresses and these are delightful. she looks like a pixie. i love it.
ah, hottie olivia wilde is smoking, freaking hot. wow, wow, wow. this chick took a risk and i think it absolutely paid off. this marchesa is by far the most interesting and fashion forward dress on the carpet.
this is best holly hunter has looked in forever. she is rocking georges hobeika and looking fabulous. head-to-toe perfection. the pint sized actress looks 6 feet tall.
january jones is a hottie. a super hottie and i love this versace gown. the geometry of the bodice isn't too structured...it's sexy and really shows off her tiny waist.
kristin chenoweth is my hero! olive snuck was the best character and the pie maker and friends will be greatly missed. this dress was amazing, her speech was amazing. perfect.
so i may have a slightly gigantic massive girl crush on mariska hargitay...perhaps it's that talking when i say she looks super hot. this carolina herrera looks as if it was painted on. stunning.

this was not my fave sparkly gown mostly because of the unflattering robe belt. stupid, it looks like an after thought. the gown is marchesa.

emmy 2009. yuckola.

so there weren't many dresses that i straight up hated, but these were the ones that just made me hang my head and say why???? why, when you are rich, beautiful, and talented you shouldn't have moments like this. jamie lynn sigler is stunning. hair, makeup, jewels, perfection. dress...uh, it looks like a prom dress from about 8 years ago. the fabric just looks more street walker than walking the red carpet. and hooker isn't a good look on anyone...not even mrs. turtle.
i tried to find a redeeming quality about this gown and there are none. this l'wren scott gown just doesn't do it for me...it's lots of pink...the sparkles look glued on and the shoes...black shoes? really...not the best choice. kyra sedgwick is beautiful and this is just a hot mess.
oh my god, jan. so i love melora hardin. this is a terrifying disaster of yellow, lace, and more yellow. she looks like a child playing dress up, throwing on whatever she can find. i like that she is reaching outside of the box and being different. it's just not good different, at all.
oh dear sweet innocent love hewitt...remember when she went by that. hilarious. i love the original j.lo, but girl can't dress herself to save her life. ever. she seriously looks like the little house on the prairie meets seventeen prom. it's not horribly bad. i just feel like none of it matches...the hair is very bohemian, the jewelry is a bit dynasty, and the dress which is max azria is just kinda prom-ish. i don't know, not great...well, her boobs always look great.

i am in love!!!! seriously, i would rape and pillage for these boots...well, okay that's a bit of a stretch, but i would do many things to get these amazing boots on my feet. i know they are a bit witchy-poo, but i swear to you they would be fabulous! i would rock them with black tights and leggings constantly!!! which aren't going anywhere in the upcoming seasons, more on fashion week later this week. now the one little problem with these shoes would be the price tag...$1200 is a bit much to swallow. i would love to find a cheaper option, i haven't found one yet, but by god i'll keep searching until i do. it also gets me thinking, what is the absolute max you would spend on the perfect pair of shoes? just a thought.

my new 24 dollar pants, paired with my favorite t-shirt ever via j.crew outlet for 16 bucks, and my yellow patent leather max studio sandals 15$ at pumps, my almost employer. i tried to make my hair huge and unfortunately this is as big as it got, so i just threw in my little feather hair clip...you can't see it, but it's there.

my fierce face, for tricia. that's sadly as "fierce" as i get...bo said i looked like an idiot. well, he wasn't wrong.

i hope you didn't watch vh1's divas without the aid of the fast forward button because if you did, boy am i sorry. thank god i could zoom through every second of paula abdul, bitch is crazy! the divas, first off, should have been called divettes, they were all under 28 and miley cyrus isn't even legal...or talented. it was painful! yes, jennifer hudson, leona lewis, kelly clarkson, and adele can saaaaang! really sang! but unfortunately they all choose the most terribly boring songs, songs that i love, but come on that is not what the good folks at home are wasting 2 hours to hear. kelly was by far the best solo, girl just does her music proud every time she sings live. now you can hate me for saying this, but my dear kells needs to drop a few. i like her thick, really i do, but even bo was like "wow, that's a different person." the duets were just a smidgen better, probably because they were all super cool guests...i loved adele and india.ari, who i have always loved. poor sheryl crow having to be that close to miley cyrus whilest she sings. don't get me wrong i love me some hannah montana, but that voice sounds like a freaking cartoon character, nails on a chalkboard. stevie wonder and jennifer hudson were nice and i thought cyndi lauper and leona were fabu. i think kelly sounded good singing with my girl melissa etheridge, but i couldn't really tell because the music was so stinking loud, i can still barely think. oh, i totally forgot about jordin sparks, eh...

i am just shocked how choppy it seemed, there was no cohesion and where were the duets between the divas? where were the girl power anthems? where were the remixes of our fave rock songs a la american idol? seriously, the best parts were when the children's choir did remixes of chasing pavements and bleeding love, A-mazing!

ah, fashion...there wasn't much. the performance outfits were all large, fluffy, and for the most part sorta pretty. the diva's didn't do so great on the red carpet either...

my best dressed goes to whitney port, who is a fashion designer/reality star...that is just all the rage nowadays, huh? well, she totally rocked it out. i love the black lace over nude sheath and for some extra fun, that adorable sparkly sleeve. perfection!
i love this dress!!!! lauren conrad is yet another fashion designer/ reality star...i love all of the sparkles, the black and twinge of green. hot! the satin peeptoe pump. so cute. h&m has a similar dress for 50 dollars, must have.

is she performing a burlesque show? should we alert billy ray? i think i like it from the waist up and i don't think i would mind the front if we could tear off those horrid fishnets...i don't know this just isn't great...the back is pretty...eh.
is leona going to sing? or perform as the local pastel fairy bar wench? yikes!!!! she is such a pretty girl with such a beautiful curvy body and this is just ugly!!! ugly, ugly!!!!!
this might not be so bad, i can't find a full body picture, i like that it gives kelly a defined waist. i would have to see the rest...i like the dark hair. i wish i could have red hair. hmph.
and then there's jordin sparks, who looks nice...for a 43 year old!!! what is up with this? she is 19!!! she looks like eva longoria parker's older sister...far too pretty and young to look this blah.
this wouldn't be so bad if she wasn't wearing these terrible boots, eh, they make her legs look like tree trunks...not cute. i really like the dress and absolutely think that her boobs could have replaced miley cyrus and jordin sparks as divas.
i love this girl and i get that this is her schtick, but she could go a little farther and take it out of boring territory. but i really couldn't care less because she is fabulous!!!!
